Fabric isn't finished being added to the front. It used to be a display case of some kind. Skip halfway through to see the Jukebox itself, the first bit is me showing my phone queuing up a song.

So my roommate royally fucked me over with my unemployment. During my midwest trip all she had to do was mail in the form so I would get that check. Just one of them. I reminded her 3 days after it was due to be sent out and she said she'd forgotten but would do it that day.
I get home and she hands it to me saying "This still needs to be sent out."
So California has stopped my checks saying they need to talk to me about why it was late.. and oh... we'll call you. In november.
In the interest of eating and paying rent my job hunt has gotten suddenly more dire. I would appreciate any leads or recommendations that the community of oaklog cans scrounge up.
so the new owners are getting rid of the highest paid reps. so me and my manager were the first to go (or last, since this is round whatever of layoffs)
No more customer service by phone. the handful of reps will be email only mon-fri.
so what now?
should start frantically looking for work right now? or enjoy myself for a bit?
Another paid shoot. Was pretty nervous about this one. An engaged couple were big mad men fans and wanted to do their engagement photo's in that theme. I didn't want to be responsible for doing a sub par job on their precious memories. All in all though the shoot was tons of fun. I'm wading through all the pics now, but this is by far my favorite.
I have few words to say. Coming from 'that' side of the family i didn't see you much. Looking back with who i am now i'm sure i'd vastly prefer your black sheep company to the strict and proper catholicness of my mom's side.
I hope you enjoyed your time here. I'm sure you will be missed.
The first time i saw Twisp, getting another cat of my own was something i had been thinking about but only as an outside possibility. He was this tiny kitten sitting in his little space in a pet store and he perked up when I walked by.
"Hey little fellow, What's your name?" I asked.
He opened his mouth and mew'd but the sound was lost behind the glass.
"I can't hear you. You'll have to do better than that. Put em on the glass."
The kitten planted both paws with their tiny pink pads firmly on the glass and mew'd again. And that was that. The little orange kitten named pancake was my cat. We took him home with another cat, a grey polydactyl that we named Catsby. Pancake became Twisp.
He liked everyone, but i liked to think he liked me most of all. He liked to smell things, a lot, and I am a smelly boy. I think that in me Twisp found a treasure trove of odors that he could jam his nose into.
He liked to walk around and then randomly flop down on a spot and take a nap without warning. I called this habit pancaking after his original name.
He liked to be rolled up in blankets, he liked being swung and tossed in the air and caught again in them. If you lifted up a blanket he would always see it as an opportunity, and would plunge into the darkness. From that I gave him is full name. Twisp S. Burroughs (Catsby I would call Catsby McShitass)
Twisp was a playful kitten and would play until he was panting. As he got older he got larger, and his hair got twispier. And then just shy of his first year, Twisp got FIP. He started to lose weight, and didn't care about eating or drinking. The vet said there was nothing to be done. But we still cared for him and gave him food and water with an eyedropper. The whole ordeal was less than two weeks. We loved Twisp with all our hearts, and being the excellent sort of cat that he was, he put up with our constant petting, and blubblering and sniffling without complaint.
We said goodbye to him today, Me, Rachel, and Catsby.
In his last days Twisps hair had been getting dirty, because he no longer had any energy to clean himself, and my own attempts to help him weren't wholly successful. On his last morning, his hair was as soft and twispy as it had ever been. His adopted brother had cleaned Twisp from head to toe.
This is the last picture of me and Twisp together, but i took many. We buried him behind my friend Aarons house, and with his help. I'm glad i have friends as good as him that understand what twisp meant to me.
Superstitious people, keep your fingers crossed. Spiritual people, say a prayer for him. And everyone else, send a good thought Twisp's way this morning. He's been losing a lot of weight and not eating, and seems very weak. Rachel is taking him to a vet appointment this morning.
